IPAF Powered Access Training Courses

Mr Plant Hire has a fully accredited IPAF Powered Access Training Centre in London and we can also offer this service nationwide. Approved by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the Powered Access Training Course provides operators/demonstrators with a PAL Operators License including Accreditation which is valid for 5 years. Operators will be trained to use a wide range of equipment depending on which categories they decide to be trained in. IPAF Operator (MEWP's) 1 Machine

This Hydraulic Work Platform (MEWP) Operator Course provides 1 day training at our training centre in Edmonton or on-site at your premises if preferred with your choice of lift.

Course include; Introduction, MEWP Categories, Structural Parts, Regulations, Pre-use inspection/handover, Safe operating methods and hazards, Theory test Pass or Fail, Practical training, Practical assessment Pass or Fail, Licence renewal and Log books.

IPAF Harness Training

This IPAF Safety Harness Training Course instructs pupils on the safe use of safety harnesses when operating scissor lifts, telescopic and articulating booms, vertical platforms, van mounted platforms, truck mounted platforms and telehandlers with integrated controls. The course is ½ day and can be held at our premises or yours. Course include; Introduction to Mobile Access Towers, Tower Assembly, Stability, Safe Use of Towers, Repositioning Towers, Tower Inspection, Care & Maintenance, Tower Dismantle, Regulations and Standards. This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety Executive. Course includes; Methods of storing, handling and transporting of abrasive wheels, Mounting of abrasive wheels, film and review, selection, inspection, mounting, dressing and truing rest-adjustment. Topics include; Awareness of the relevant Health and Safety Regulations, Awareness of the needs with regard to Personnel Protection Equipment against falls from height and the relevant requirements, How to identify and select the correct form of PPE against falls from height when using a MEWP, How to inspect and maintain a harness and lanyard, How to fit and use the harness and lanyard identified.
